Description

Kit to rebuild the backrest frames of the 2 front seats of all Porsche 911 and 912 models from 1966-1973 with standard seats. Contains 18 rubber rings, 4 elastic rubber bands, 2 horsehair panels, linen backing cloth and correction filling.

The backrests of your Porsche 911 ’66-73 front seats have an O-ring frame. Extensive use and age will cause the rubber rings and elastic bands to loose resistance and break. This reduces the support of the seat and will overstretch your seat covers causing them to tear and crack.

When replacing your front seat covers it is recommended to install our backrest restoration kit. It will provide you better ride comfort and increase the life of your new seat covers.

The kit includes all soft materials to rebuild both front backrests. O-ring clips are not included, but can be added. Each backrest requires 24 O-ring clips. If you need new O-ring clips for both backrests, select yes on the “O-ring clip set” which includes 48 clips in stainless steel. If you only need a few new clips, you can order these separately (see below).
