Description

Rotary pin to repair broken Targa Top locks on Porsche 911 Targa models 1970-1985.  Matches Porsche part number 901 565 032 00.

Targa top locks often fail because the flanges on the latch handle housing break of. Replacement of the rotary pin requires grinding and welding.

To replace the rotary pin, the lock needs to be removed from the Targa top frame (2 bolts). The front and back plates of the lock need to be split. This requires grinding off the 5 point welds which need to be welded back after the rotary pin is replaced. A description for this procedure is available.
